| Dr. Jacob Lee is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Seoul, South Korea. He received his M.D. from Korea University College of Medicine and earned his Ph.D. from Korea University Graduate School. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, he has extensive experience in infection control, antimicrobial stewardship, and emerging infectious disease response, including field deployment during the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone and the 2015 MERS-CoV epidemic in South Korea. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Advisory Committee on National Strategic Stockpile at the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) and as Vice President of the Korean Society for Antimicrobial Therapy. His research focuses on mathematical modeling of bioterrorism pathogens, healthcare-associated infection prevention, and vaccine effectiveness evaluation, with over 80 peer-reviewed publications in journals including Annals of Internal Medicine, International Journal of Infectious Diseases, and PLOS ONE. |
