From Insight to Improvement: Simulation and Optimization of Business Processes
DR. FRANCESCO, Vinci
University of Padova
Dr. Francesco Vinci is a researcher at the University of Padova. His research focuses on optimizing public administration processes by integrating data and stakeholder feedback, departing from traditional methods that rely solely on subjective assessment. He employs user-evaluation techniques, machine learning, AI, and process mining for effective process optimization. His work explores the use of business process simulation for "what-if" experiments, assessing the impact of changes without disrupting real-world systems. He also investigates how explainable AI can be combined with symbolic process models to repair and improve simulation accuracy. His ultimate goal is to propose methodologies that leverage AI to enhance the quality of business process simulation models, contributing to advancements at the intersection of neuro-symbolic reasoning and process intelligence.
